Calcium Hydroxide

Calcium hydroxide, also known as slaked lime, is a white solid that is produced when calcium oxide (quicklime) is mixed with water. It is used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications, such as for water treatment, food preservation, and in the production of cement and plaster of Paris. It is also used in the production of other compounds, such as calcium carbonate, and in the neutralization of acids.
